Saluki Night Shuttle is provided as an extension of Saluki Express by JAX. It provides a safe means of transportation for SIU students both on and off campus in the evening hours. 

Saluki Night Shuttle is offered year-round with no service on Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and Independence Day.

You can request a ride by calling 618/549-0304 or downloading the JAX CTS Rider Portal.

The CTS Rider Portal is your app for the JAX Micro Transit System. Riders will need to create an account. Riders will be able to request rides. JAX Professional Dispatchers review and notify riders of approved rides. This app is free and available in Google Play and the iOS App Store.

We stop accepting calls 30 minutes before closing.  

Rides are dispatched to locations based on the order they are received. You can call ahead for a ride and must be ready for pickup when the driver arrives. The driver will wait a maximum of 3 minutes. Two no-shows will result in being banned from the service for the semester.

After a call is received the average wait for a ride is 15 – 25 minutes depending upon weather conditions and the number of incoming calls.
